The PITO Contract:
The PITO contract was established to refresh existing information technology equipment deployed in FBI Headquarters and Field Offices, as well as allow for improved and advancing technology acquisition by FBI organizations.
PITO enables all FBI organizations to procure standard, non-mainframe IT hardware and enables the Information Technology Operations Division (ITOD) to identify, schedule, and replace (refresh) operational IT hardware to avoid obsolescence. It establishes a "Standard Technology Refresh" replacement desktop for use by the FBI in its Top Secret, Secret and Unclassified enclaves.
